Dillish Matthews who’s been globetrotting in the last few weeks is back in Nigeria and has featured in singer Flavour‘s new video titled ‘Ikwokrikwo‘. The video was directed by Clarence Peters.

‘I always said if I am to be in a music video, I have to be lead, has to be for a huge musician and they have to pay me good!!! power of the tongue!!!‘, Dillish says.

The video will be released in the second week of December.

D’Prince Launches ‘Jonzing’ Night Club

Mo’Hits artiste Charles Collins better known as D’Prince has launched his very own night club called ‘Jonzing’. The younger brother to the Mo’Hits C.E.O and hit producer Don Jazzy, launched the night club yesterday Wednesday, September 29, 2011

The new club is actually a transformation of the popular Club Karma situated on Victoria Island, Lagos. It is still unsure if the property was bought over by the Mo’Hits camp or they are in partnership. Those who are familiar with the club tell us that the interior designs have not been changed.

The launch was attended by the Mo’Hits crew, Wizkid, Dotsar and many other celebs.

The Mo’Hits crew consist of Don Jazzy, D’banj, D’Prince, Dr. SID, Wande Coal and K-Switch.

Wale hits Lagos club, DJs for 30 minutes

Wale Folarin is having a ball in Lagos; the US-born rapper who arrived Nigeria on November 27, 2013 has been making stops and settling in fine before his November 30 show.

 He went clubbing at Club Pravada, Victoria Island and got to the DJ booth where he manned the set for a while.

Davido is re-shooting his 'Skelewu' video in London

Davido is re-shooting his 'Skelewu' video in London after a leaked version of the original received negative reviews from fans.

After 'Skelewu' music video leaked online, Pop singer Davido travelled to London to re-shoot it with video director Mr Moe Musa.

Davido's much anticipated video for his hit song 'Skelewu' was released on October 15, 2013) but after fans and critics dished out mostly negative reviews, the 21-year-old singer claimed the video was never approved by his label and wasn't meant to be released.
Investigations reveal that the video clip was not uploaded on Davido's official YouTube page, suggesting he did not upload it.
Davido also explains on Twitter that when he watched the ''leaked'' version two weeks ago, he decided to re-shoot it.
Davido tweeted out his frustration as soon as the video hit the web: ''From the moment I first watched the leaked version 2 weeks ago I decided to reshoot it. I knew right away that skelewu deserved a better vid.''

Davido believes he knows who leaked the video, in a cryptic tweet he wrote:
 ''Can't believe this dude did this...
 U know who u are! ... 
Then you wait till I'm on the plane
 lol smart move .. Karma.''
Fingers are pointing at the director of the first video, popular music video D.O.P Sesan Ogunro                 (who works with the likes of D'banj, Tiwa Savage, Iyanya and many others).
But the director insists that despite the accusations, he's as cool as ice. He wrote on Twitter:
 ''I am not fighting with anyone. these are rumours.
 Fade [Ogunro] and myself are cool with everyone.''

Enormous python killed in Florida is a state record Invasive reptile, which was dispatched with a knife, measures 18 feet, 8 inches, and weighs 128 pounds

A Miami man briefly wrestled with and ultimately used a knife to kill a Burmese python measuring 18 feet, 8 inches.
That sets a state record for pythons captured or killed in the wild. The previous record measured 17 feet, 7 inches.
Jason Leon was not hunting pythons but, while driving late at night recently in southeast Miami-Dade County, he and a friend spotted about 3 feet of snake protruding from the brush.
Leon applied the brakes, climbed out of the car, grabbed the visible portion of the snake, and began hauling it onto the road.
The giant constrictor responded by trying to wrap its body around one of Leon’s legs, but he was able to dispatch the reptile with a knife.
Burmese pythons are native to grassy marshes of Southeast Asia and can grow to about 23 feet and weigh up to about 200 pounds.
In Florida, where they’ve been released as pets and escaped from wildlife facilities, there are thousands of them, mostly within the Everglades ecosystem.
As such a large and voracious invasive species, they’re a threat to native wildlife. The state would like to eradicate them, if that were possible.
Leon, meanwhile, is being praised.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission issued a news release, in which exotic species specialist Kristen Sommers stated:
“The FWC is grateful to him for both safety removing such a large Burmese python and for reporting its capture…With the help of people like Mr. Leon and our ongoing partnerships with other agencies, the FWC is advancing what we know about Burmese pythons in Florida.”
Leon, who said he once owned Burmese pythons and has experience handling the nonpoisonous snakes, reported the capture via a hotline used for reporting exotic species.
The python was delivered to the University of Florida’s Fort Lauderdale Research and Education Center where it was measured and a necropsy was performed.

THE STEEL BANKERESS ; A story on the unsavory details of the modern day corporate slavery in banking.

             THE STEEL BANKERESS

The major characters of the novel are distinctive in their diverse attributes and in no small measure contribute to telling the whole story of marketers the way it is and make us ask this all important question are they really and truly victims or oppressors?

The marketer or account officer every business man and woman would like to have is Pamela the main character. Fired by haunting nightmares of a secret and shameful past,

she is portrayed as the typical ruthless boss a growing trend in the Banking Industry who runs her Foundation Bank branch with hands of steel and her staff are regularly abused with mental whips. Here is also a woman who is unnaturally obsessed with conceding to the needs of the bank customers and her employers at the brutal expense of the staff that report to her. Coupled with that is her callous ambition as her ferocious scheming puts her far ahead of her other colleagues. Pamela desperately desires to be elevated to the position of Business Development Manager in anticipation of the approval of the commercial banking license for the bank. This very promotion she desires will ultimately push her over the edge of normalcy as she goes too far in her pursuit of it. 

The richness of the story is also embedded in three other characters that hold their own in the novel. These are former contemporaries now Pamela's subordinates, there is the weak minded Rachael who happens to be Pamela's deputy, the tooth pick. Like the proverbial sheep that devours the faeces of the dog it follows around. Rachael is desperate to succeed Pamela. She however lacks the same level of ruthlessness. Pushed to the wall she is on the verge of a nervous breakdown. An unfortunate episode in her family caused by her efforts to please Pamela could finally cause her mind to collapse completely. 

The third character in this novel is the heavily pregnant but stubborn Enitan and Pamela's headache. She is the third in branch hierarchy. Enitan's unexpressed desire for a complete change in her personal life and career is seen as an opportunity for Pamela to completely destroy her.

It is the third character, Pamela's protégé, the pretty and vivacious Adeola a relatively junior officer in the branch by virtue of being a marketing staff. She is the chosen one. However she is caught up in a web of atrocities engineered by Pamela that could turn the man she loves against her. 

The fifth character is Dr. Mayowa the evil one who struggles to push a medical business proposal around the banks located in Lagos. She eventually finds her way to Foundation Bank and with the support of Pamela causes serious havoc in the professional and personal lives of the other characters.

What made these characters what they are? The novel also revolves around the men in their personal and professional lives, their customers, their rivals, their parents, their backgrounds and the future they each desire for themselves. It tells a story of a bank tottering on the edge of a management upheaval and how it affects each character. 

This is a story that will definitely evoke strong feelings. The reader may have intense pity for the tormented Pamela, the villainess, respect for Enitan's show of maturity and compassion, irritation at Adeola's naiveté, repulsiveness at the unscrupulous Dr. Mayowa and probably deep empathy for the mentally disturbed Rachael.

The visual settings, like the Lagos bar beach used to tell the different stories of the characters is also a compelling tug that creates larger than life images and situations for the reader to also experience firsthand how each character evolves.

A must read if you want your thoughts provoked by the injustice.
